Recently I approached a club for a gig, and was told the following " The club is not interested in blues. too many blues bands are glitched into playing the same 40-60 songs over and over and over again. They need to purge their set list of songs they have beaten their audience to death with". Ouch, it hurts being a blues musician, thrown into the same boring, jam based, tired licks bag. But I 100% agree with their assessment. However it ain't always so. Sometimes material and a sense of urgency trumps all, at least in the eyes of people forking over hard earned coin for a couple beers. It could be much more streamlined with easier access to all the info. Technology moves quickly and having a website that is outdated in terms of looks and how it functions can only hurt the club.
